About Shanaya D’sa/ Leora Schertzer
Leora Schertzer: Canadian. Student of Environmental Economics and Communications, McGill University. Co-President, Expanding Economics. Shanaya D’sa: Indian. Student of Economics and Cultural Studies, McGill University.
Leora Schertzer is the executive producer and host of The Expanding Economics Podcast and co-president of Expanding Economics. She is in her fifth year of her BA program at McGill studying Environmental Economics and Communications. In her downtime, she enjoys swimming in cold bodies of water, making naturally leavened baked goods, and people-watching. Shanaya D’sa is a third year student studying Economics and Cultural Studies. She was drawn to study economics to better understand decision making and the influence these decisions have on different aspects of our society. For that reason, she is particularly interested in areas of pluralist thought that examine the role of social and political power in economics. When she is not studying econ, Shanaya enjoys long walks, ice cream, biking, and watching films.
